Updated #ShredStrong Training Guide + Welcome! 🙌

Hi, Reader!

I'm so honored to have as part of the #ShredStrong fam! Our new fall cycle starts on Monday, November 6th (tomorrow!), so I wanted to send you the recently UPDATED Training Guide. It was updated in the past two days, so please reference this version going forward. Tap this link to access and download it:

Pay attention to pages 5-6 in the Training Guide to get a better understanding of RIR (Reps In Reserve) and RPE (Rate of Perceived Exertion), as well as an updated table that outlines how RPE, heart rate zones, and % of FTP (Functional Threshold Power) are all related. If this sounds like gibbity-gloop to you, have no fear, because you will learn what these terms mean soon enough.

You do NOT depend solely on power meters and technology/wearables in this program (because those things aren't accessible to everyone, and they're honestly not necessary in order to get a good training session in) - instead, you'll learn how to read your own body without depending on these things by using your RPE, because, well... technology fails, but that doesn't mean you have to abandon your training. Getting in touch with your body is paramount in all of this, and I'm here to hold your hand along the way.

There are some slight differences in the programming from the time that video was recorded until now, but the functionality of the app remains the same.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

You'll see the program and workouts in the app starting no later than midnight on Monday morning when the app switches things over (you may even see them in there now!). So, play around with the app and have some fun with it!

Monday will be a rest day after a weekend (hopefully) spent on two wheels. You can move your workouts around on the calendar in the app to fit your schedule any time.

We'll meet on Monday night (Nov 6) at 6-7pm MT for our first community chat and check-in. We'll be discussing how to determine your core values (which influence your identity and how you determine what's a priority for yourself). We'll also chat about setting goals and some key things to keep in mind. It will be recorded and sent out to you so you don't miss anything.
